Kate here…
Sorry for missing the boat yesterday BUT my Miss Roo deserved the limelight on my personal blog Aiken Anecdotes for the whole day, it being her birthday and all
So… last week’s meal plan was really a waste of time as we hardly followed it at all. it was such a celebratory week that we either ate out of asked those who we were celebrating what they wanted for dinner. Jonathan scored the position of Basketball Manager for is JH school girl’s teams and we went our for man burgers to celebrate. Lettuce wrapped with no cheese of course and added bacon OF COURSE!
Then Miss Roo caught a cold on her birthday :( and really didn’t want to go out to a restaurant to celebrate so she requested a meat and veggies birthday dinner at home

Totally NOT paleo with roast potatoes and Yorkshire Puddings but she has always loved good old meat and veg dinners! Got to love that sweet girl
The die hard cavemen and girls in the family substituted white potatoes for sweet potato mash, declined the puddings and added generous sides of brussel sprouts and broccoli and we had a roast chicken instead of deli ham off the bone
Total weight loss = Hubby 23 lbs and Kate’s = 13 lbs
SO here’s the proposed meal plan for this week!
- Monday: Bison Chili
- Tuesday: Chicken green curry with cauliflower egg fried rice
- Wednesday:Sausage casserole with baked sweet potatoes
- Thursday: Spaghetti Squash Bolognese
- Friday: Leftovers/Brinner
- Saturday: Eat out (Teddy’s lettuce wrapped Hawaiian burgers with bacon and jalapenos
) - Sunday: Roast meat and veggies
Dinner tonight Chicken Green Curry with Cauliflower Egg Fried Rice

Recipe to follow shortly
Have a great week, stay healthy and eat well ~ PALEO POWER!
