They’re hooked on smoothies at our house. We blend milk/yogurt/oj/fruits/oils, you name it, to come up with yummy concoctions. This last one, though, has had us all stymied. How can it be so good, so simple, and so added sugar free??

Health Food or Dessert? You Decide.

Mango coconut “Ice Cream”

1/2 package Trader Joe’s Frozen Mango Chunks
1 can Trader Joe’s light coconut milk

Stick it in a blender and blend it. Comes out FROZEN like frozen yogurt. So yummy!!!! We like it with a splash of lemon or lime juice just for the yin/yang effect, too.

Nutrition Per Serving (assuming 2 large servings): 278 calories, 37 carbohydrates, 10 fat, 2 protein, 5 fiber, 22 sugar.

  2. I love this! The kids love it too. I’ve made this with frozen fruit of all kinds adding some prunes to the mix for sweetness if I’m using more tart berries. Very Yummy!
